ⓘ Information
Welcome! This tool helps you find the correct adapter cable to connect your PiBurn rotary to a different laser machine.
Start by selecting your rotary type on the left.
What if I don't see my machine?
If your machine is not listed, try selecting "Generic Chinese/Other" for the appropriate motor type (2-phase or 3-phase). Most Chinese-made laser machines use standard 2-phase stepper motors with a 4-pin GX-16 connector. If you're unsure, please contact Lensdigital for assistance.
What is the difference between 2-phase and 3-phase?
PiBurn rotaries use stepper motors. Most laser machines use 2-phase motors (4 wires). Some higher-end machines (certain Boss, AP Laser, Laguna, and others) use 3-phase motors (3 wires). A rotary built for a 2-phase machine cannot be used on a 3-phase machine and vice versa — the motors are physically different.
What about servo/closed-loop motors?
Some machines (like Thunder Laser) use closed-loop servo motors. These are only compatible with their specific machine. We do not sell cross-compatibility adapters for servo motors.
